物理实验是理工科学生的必修课,是培养学生实验技能和科学素养的基础课程。编者在参阅国内外大学物理实验英文教材的基础上,结合来华留学生的全英文物理实验教学经验,编写了这本英文物理实验教材。
本教材共分为5章:第1章为绪论;第2章为测量与误差;第3章为基础性实验;第4章为综合性实验;第5章为创新性实验。实验项目打破按传统的力学、热学、电学、磁学、光学和近代物理学顺序进行的教学体系,构建以能力培养为主线,分层、多模块、相互衔接的实验教学内容体系,并精心设计了各层次实验项目的比重和实验内容,将实验教学内容与科研、社会应用实践紧密连接,实现基础与前沿、经典与现代的有机结合。
