在第四版修订过程中，主要突出了以下特色：

　　1. 较为全面地编入现代物流管理流程，坚持教材内容“管用、够用、适用”原则。本教材由十个单元组成，较完整地编入了现代物流管理流程，教材内容理论紧密联系实际，强调岗位实际操作。

　　2. 引进“商务物流管理”新模式，精选现代物流文章。本教材以 Oxford University Press Southern Africa（Pty）Ltd.出版的 Business Logistics Management 中的“商务物流管理”模式为主线，突出现代物流管理的市场营运特点，精选的原文反映了现代物流业先进应用技术动态和未来发展方向。

　　3. 校企共同编写，强化实践动手能力。本教材全面贯彻落实党的二十大精神，促进产教融合的认真落实，由物流业知名企业一线技术骨干与职业院校一线优秀专业教师合作打造产学研平台，重点结合物流企业生产实际，模拟生产操作规程，从而达到强化学生实际动手能力之目的，更好地满足物流、供应链企业对高技能人才的需求。

　　4. 增添了供应链管理和“一带一路”等相关主题，内容循序渐进，从易到难，具有明显的梯度变化特点，练习形式活泼多样，能激发学生的学习兴趣。考虑到课堂教学时间有限，教师可以在每一个单元的三个部分中按照教学实际进行选择，学生也可以根据自身实际取舍自学。
